This organization is dedicated to ending the war in Northern Uganda where children are abducted, tortured or killed in front of their peers, or forced to fight with the rebel army as child soldiers. For fear of being hunted by the LRA (Lord’s Resistance Army), these children commute on foot every night to find safe places to sleep. To date, more than 30,000 children have been abducted, tortured and killed, or forced into war.
Care Communities provides compassionate, practical and emotional support for people living with AIDS and other serious illnesses and their loved ones. ICA works together in faith traditions to build a community where all people facing a difficult illness will receive loving care and support.
The mission of HTH is Education and Advocacy surrounding the issues of homelessness. The board consists of at least 60% homeless and formerly homeless people. The Universal Living Wage is based on the premise that if a person works 40 hours a week, then he/she should be able to afford basic housing.

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention works to reduce loss of life from suicide, investing in groundbreaking research, new educational campaigns, innovative demonstration projects and critical policy work. AFSP also provides assistance to people whose lives have been affected by suicide, reaching out to offer support and offering opportunities to become involved in prevention.
My Healing Place helps grieving and traumatized children and adults in the greater Austin area as they move from loss to life through support groups, therapy and training.
